What Does KwaCare Do?

Community Soup Kitchen – feeding between 80-100 impoverished and vulnerable people five days a week.
Orphans & Vulnerable Children Soup Kitchen – feeding approximately 70 orphans and vulnerable children five days a week.
Food Parcel Programme – each month, KwaCare supports approximately 40 individuals and families who are struggling to put food on the table as a result of unemployment, disabilities, disease etc.
Community Thrift Shop – selling donated clothes, furniture and household goods at very cheap prices to the people who live in the community we serve.
Education Fund (KwaEd) - This project pays school fees and buys school uniforms and stationery for children whose parents/guardians cannot afford to pay for these things. This project enables these children to be able to attend school. We also mentor these children.
Help-A-Child - Under this project, we connect an orphan in our community to a family in our Church for ongoing support, love and mentoring. We also pay for their school fees, buy uniforms, stationery, clothing and food.
Prison Ministry - this is a course run in one of our local prisons which is designed to build personal identity for the prisoners through creative expression This project’s goal is to show the prisoners that they are individuals with a purpose and a choice to change their lives.

How Can I Volunteer For KwaCare?

Volunteering- with our community projects.
Group Volunteering- International volunteers travel to South Africa to volunteer with KwaCare's community projects on a temporary basis.

Advice – If you have any advice or suggestions for us, please contact us by emailing info@kwacare.org.za and let us know how we can use your knowledge and skills to better run our projects or deal with specific challenges that we may face.
Donate items to our Thrift Shop - You can donate any clothes, furniture, toys or household goods for our Community Thrift Shop. You can drop the goods off at our offices every week day between 08H00 and 16H30. If transporting your donated items is difficult for you, please contact us.
