child education

There are many children living in KwaDabeka who do not attend school because their parents/guardians cannot afford to send them. Together with our donors, we are changing this – one child at a time. KwaCare identifies orphans and vulnerable children living in desperate circumstances and, through KwaEd, pays schools fees, buys uniforms and stationery and runs a Mentoring Programme. We know that education will equip these children with the opportunity to reach their full potential, providing a platform to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

KwaEd Tertiary was launched to assist orphans and vulnerable children who are school leavers with the opportunity to study at tertiary level. The students on this programme don’t have the means to study at tertiary level because they come from impoverished and disadvantaged home situations. We help to cover some of their costs, such as: tuition fees, registration fees, stationery and textbooks, residence costs, meal costs etc. This project also includes a mentorship aspect.

Through this project, we connect an orphan in KwaDabeka to a family from another community for ongoing love, support and mentoring. We also help to cover their school and living costs. We understand the importance of family and unconditional love and through this project; these children will get just that.
